The first of six (6) subsidiaries of GLICO Group Company Limited, GLICO Life was incorporated in 1986 and it started operations in 1987 at Abossey-Okai, Accra. It currently operates from the Head office of GLICO Group Limited, “GLICO House” located off the Kwame Nkrumah Avenue at Adabraka in Accra.

Being a Life insurance company with a mission to bring life insurance to the doorstep of every Ghanaian household, GLICO Life works assiduously to provide innovative Life insurance products designed to meet the personalized needs of every Ghanaian. GLICO Life has offices across the length and breadth of the country and employs about one hundred and fifty (150) people. Amongst its flagship products are the GLICO Enhanced Education Plan (GEEP), Premium Funeral Plan, Life Savings Plan for individuals; Anidasuo and Edwa Nkosuo for the informal sector and Group Comprehensive Plan for institutions.

Incorporated in 2006, GLICO General operates in the non-Life sector of the Insurance industry. It is one of the six (6) subsidiaries of GLICO Group Limited and amongst the top five (5) insurance companies in Ghana.

The company is located in the GLICO House off the Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Accra, and operates to provide measured and highly responsive non-Life insurance solutions to all consumers across the social strata. GLICO Healthcare, previously known as Gemini Healthcare and a subsidiary of GLICO Group Ltd, is the first private health insurance company incorporated in Ghana following the enactment of the National Health Insurance Act 2003 (Act 650). GLICO Pensions was incorporated in 2010 and licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) as a corporate trustee to manage and administer occupational pension schemes, provident fund schemes and group personal pension schemes in line with the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766).

GLICO Pensions customizes pension schemes to suit the different needs of the various segments of the working population and currently manages and administers four (4) pension schemes that cater for the pension needs of workers in both the formal and informal sectors. These include: GLICO Master Trust Occupational Pension Scheme, GLICO Master Trust Provident Fund Scheme, Ghana Education Service (GES) Occupational Pension Scheme and Cocoa Abrabopa Pension Scheme.

GLICO Capital is a subsidiary of GLICO Group Ltd incorporated in 2003 to operate as a Fund Management company. We are licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and currently operate from No. 3A Digya Lane, Airport Residential Area in Accra.

As a financial management expert, GLICO Capital provides Fund Management services founded on deep technical knowledge, extensive experience in wealth creation and time-tested systems and processes. We currently serve the market with services such as Institutional and Individual Fund Management, Pension Fund Management, Provident Fund Management, Welfare Administration and Corporate Finance Advisory.
